Things to change in our education system

Chilean education has a lot of problems and things to fix to be updated to current times considering all the social movements that had happen this last years. I think that the education in Chile has, at least, two essentials challenges to improve it's quality.

First, we can't ignore the feminist break we're living and one important point of the feminist demands is that we need a non-sexist education. I believe this is an important change in our education system because the mobilization probe to us that the way we are being educated induces society to perpetuate gender stereotypes. It's a need to change this because it generates huge problems, especially for women, who are made to feel less them in this society.

Secondly, chilean education has to add sexual education in schools because kids need to know about their bodies, contraceptive methods, etc., if we keep them uninformed, the problems we have today (teenage pregnancies, lot of kids in Sename, deaths for clandestine abortions , etc.) will increase over the years.

I think if this two things change the education in Chile will improve considerably. Sadly in Chile changes are always made late and, sometimes, in a bad way, provoking new changes to fix the old ones. To be honest, I'm not very optimistic on this topic.
