Well, once I get my degree I want to dedicate myself to
sports journalism, that´s something that I know since I was 15 years
old. I always read, listen or watch things about sports, so, I know a lot of
sports journalists since I was very young. In all this years I have admired
some sports journalists for different reasons, but, if I have to choose one, I
choose Juan Pablo Varsky.
Juan Pablo is an argentinian journalist, he works on
magazines, radio and also on T.V. In 2007 he obtained the “Diploma al Mérito”
of the Konex Awards as one of the 5 best journalists of the decade in the
Audiovisual Sports discipline in Argentina, award that he won again ten years
later.
I admire him because I think he´s very clear and didactic
when he tries to explain something, I like his way of doing journalism. He is a
really good sports analyzer, he usually has the right comment at the precise
moment.
On the future, I would like to do a journalism like his. I
think that in Chile we need more journalist that can explain in a easy way a
sport to the spectators that aren´t huge fans of it. I wish I can do it one
day.
