Well, I
never really thought in what study program I like when I was younger, it was very easy
to be honest. Football was all to me, I used to think like Thierry Henry –one of
the greatest footballers of France's history-, he said: “I eat football, I dream
football, I breathe football. I`m not insane, I’m passionate.” That was me, but
I never took the decision to train with the young divisions of a professional
team. So, I was almost 16 years old and that is an “old” age to start in football. I mean, there are some things that you need to learn when you are
like 10 years old, if you try to learn it at 16 you are giving a huge advantage
to your teammates.
Considering
that, one day my dad came and said: “I think you must study journalism and be a
sports journalist”, I don`t even thought about it, it had perfect sense to me.
So, since that day until now that my goal, I want to be a great sports
journalist because I think that here in Chile there are a lot of journalists that can talk about football, but they have no idea about rugby, basketball,
athletics, and many others sports that has the same importance.
It`s true that what I know the most is the same of all, football, thats why I always try to pay attention to the rules of other sports. I have friends that love basketball, for example, and I make questions abuot it to them to learn about it. My dad watches rugby and american football and he explains it to me. This way I learn about a lot of sports and I can go out of this bubble that is football today.

I like sports too, and it's true that in Chile the sports that are not football don't get the attention they need. Hope you can contribute to change that!
ResponderBorrarI like that you care other sports besides futbol, because it's important to visivilize them, especially in Chile
